We’d like to inform you that DARC will be closed on Monday, April 13. We’ll be working remotely for the day, and we’ll be back at the office on Tuesday, April 14.
This 2-part interactive lecture will give filmmakers, musicians and film lovers new tools to interpret film music.
In this introductory hands-on cinematography workshop, participants will explore essential aspects of camera systems, including mounting, lensing, and building camera kits.

Presented in partnership with the National Capital Scriptwriting Institute, this intensive workshop guides emerging writers through the process of creating a complete short film script (2–10 pages).
In celebration of International Women’s Month, we are proud to screen DARC’s Media Art Production Fund recipient Pixie Cram’s latest film The Pavilion. After the screening, Pixie will discuss the making of this part live action and part stop motion film set during WWII.
This hands-on workshop provides artists with camera, audio, and lighting basics from pre- to post-production.
