Sennheiser ME66/K6

Sound is as important to video work as the crisp images themselves. Yet, it tends to be every video maker’s pet peeve. One of the staple items in DARC’s sound equipment library is the Sennheiser ME66 shotgun mic and K6 power module.

In addition to recording voiceovers, shotgun mics can be set up with a boom pole to record talent. It is the K6 power module that makes this mic so great. It can be powered by a single AA battery or by phantom power. You can switch it to battery mode if you’re out in the woods and don’t want to drain your zoom or camera battery. All our mic rentals come with a windscreen, shock mount, aluminum thread adapter, a brass shoe mount with two black plastic tightening wheels and two different 12″ XLR cables to prepare you for all your shooting conditions. Digital artists and expert digital artists can rent the Sennheiser ME66/K6 for $15 a week.
