Upon reflection as to what practical action Digital Arts Resource Centre (DARC) can take to support the TRC’s Calls to Action, the DARC Board of Directors unanimously chose on September 27th to stand in solidarity by making a reparative contribution to reconciliation, waiving all membership fees for First Nations, Metis and Inuit artists and organizations forever, effective immediately.

DARC equipment rental, Digital Artist + Expert Digital Artist reopening!

Arts Court (where we are located) has officially opened its doors to the public for the first time since March 2020. As a result, Digital Arts Resource Centre is so excited to announce that we will be reopening our equipment rental program on Wednesday August 18th! Infinite Scroll | VECTOR FESTVAL

From July 15th to August 8th, Peter Rahul’s “nosignal” will be shown on the 3rd floor of the CF Rideau Centre as part of Vector Festival’s multi-site exhibition “Infinite Scroll” which showcases GIF artworks that use abstraction and repetition to simulate the hypnotic effects of social media scrolling. GIFs by Khadija Aziz, Justine Durand, Peter Rahul, and Shaheer Zazai are presented, respectively, by Factory Media Centre (Hamilton), InterAccess (Toronto), Digital Arts Resource Centre (Ottawa), and Trinity Square Video’s Virtual Vitrine (online).
