Apply for the Expanded Practice Residency

Digital Arts Resource Centre is excited to announce the reopening of our Expanded Practice Residency program. Expanded Practice is a three-week intensive artist residency, offered to Digital Artists and Expert Digital Artist members of DARC who are seeking to develop their current practice, experiment with a new medium, or continue an existing project.

Residency support includes:

-Equipment and facility waivers for the duration of the residency;

-Access to DARC mentors for technical expertise;

-An opportunity to present your work publicly through a screening or artist talk;

-A fee for an optional artist talk or presentation of your work.

The selection of the resident artist or collective will be decided by a recommender jury with advanced experience and knowledge of video production and media arts. The jury will independently review each application before meeting as a group to select up to three resident artists. The selected resident artist or collective will be contacted by mid-May, 2023.

Deadline: May 1st, 2023

The grant is open to producing members of DARC (Digital Artist and Expert Digital Artist) at any stage of their artistic practice. Apply now through the online application form on our website. If you have any questions or need further information, please reach out to us at accessdigitalartsresourcecentre.ca.
