Join us for an orientation session on February 20th from 5 to 7 pm, and become familiar with the recording studio‘s control room and recording booth. Our team is here to teach you how to operate the studio and support your creations. Expect a run-through of essential hardware, software, and basic setup and tear-down. Most importantly, we want to hear about your projects, and how we can assist you.
To reserve your spot, email rentals@digitalartsresourcecentre.ca. To give you the best learning experience, this orientation is limited to 5 individuals. We offer this orientation once quarterly. This event is open to all DARC members, and anyone interested in joining our centre.
Tech Coordinator Mel Gosselin will facilitate this orientation session. Mel is a french-canadian artist from Ottawa. Their musical background is in classical piano as well as choral ensembles. They have a music composition practice that is very improvisational and have released songs under the artist name Greenfield Ave. They are a graduate from the Music Industry Arts program at Algonquin College and a recipient of the Harry Bloomfield Scholarship.
Assisting Mel is member Dereck Bassa who has been a member of DARC since 2019, he is a music producer and photographer currently working on his upcoming debut single Water 7!
