COVID-19 POLICY

** Due to the ongoing health risks associated with COVID 19, we are asking visitors to wear masks while visiting our office. We offer “contactless” pick-up for gear rentals. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms, we encourage you to stay home and enjoy our virtual programming. Thank you for your kindness and understanding.

COVID 19 Booking Protocol

All DARC members must act in accordance with our COVID 19 protocols and security measures outlined below. DARC is taking every precaution necessary to ensure the safety of our staff and membership. The failure to abide by our COVID 19 protocols will result in a reassessment and potential revocation of your membership status.

Please note that our recording studio can comfortably accommodate 4-6 people in the booth, and 2-3 in the control room; this will vary depending on instruments and technical needs.

Before Your Booking

Please review our public equipment list and ensure that you book a consultation or a proficiency test as needed before your rental pick up.
For after hours bookings, members (and members of the booking party) must pick up an access key/card and be trained on DARCs security system in advance of your booking (this will take between 15-30 minutes).

During Your Booking

Members (and members of the booking party) must wear a medical grade mask at all times while onsite (we have medical masks you may access during your booking).
Please note during after hour bookings, masks are still required in common spaces. Masks are required when interacting with DARC staff.
Non-vocal members will be asked to remain masked during the recording session.
Members (and members of the booking party) must sanitize their hands upon entering or reentering DARC facility space.
Members (and members of the booking party) must work with both doors closed.
Members (and members of the booking party) are not permitted to bring in any other non DARC staff approved person onsite during their booking.
No food or drink is permitted in the recording studio.
All members should be comfortable using the suite alone. Limited member support will be available during office hours.

Notes on Safety

DARC staff will wear a mask at all times when onsite and when interacting with members during their booking.
DARC staff will maintain physical distancing (6 feet) where possible.
All DARC staff members are fully vaccinated against COVID 19.
Medical grade masks, hand sanitizer and gloves will be available for member use while onsite for their booking.
The recording studio will be sanitized thoroughly before and after each booking.
If members (or members of the booking party) are experiencing any symptoms of COVID 19 or have any known exposure to COVID 19 before their booking they will be asked to cancel their booking at no charge. If symptoms or known exposure take place during or shortly after the rental period the renter will be asked to inform DARC as soon as possible via email to tech@digitalartsresourcecentre.ca.

COVID Safety Measures

Members must be wearing a mask at all times while inside DARC Headquarters.
DARC staff will wear a mask at all times when handling equipment being prepared for rental.
DARC staff will wear a mask at all times when interacting with members during their pickups and returns.
Returned equipment will be sanitized before being booked by another member.
If renting members are experiencing any symptoms of COVID 19 or have any known exposure to COVID 19 before their booking they will be asked to cancel their booking at no charge. If symptoms or known exposure take place during the rental period the renter will be asked to inform DARC as soon as possible via email: rentals@digitalartsresourcecentre.ca.
Pickup windows are 30 minutes; please let us know if you require additional time. Please review our public equipment list and ensure that you book a consultation or a proficiency test as required for your gear, before your rental pick up.
