RESOLUTION 2021

FEBRUARY 11th, 2021

Digital Arts Resource Centre is proud to present RESOLUTION 2021, an annual screening of works produced by our members in the previous year. This year’s line-up of works showcases the broad scope of artistic practices in which our members are engaged. Join us on our website here (Link necessary), on Thursday February 11th, 2021 at 7pm. Artists will be in attendance to participate in a brief Q&A with the audience following the screening.

Knot Project Space powered by Digital Arts Resource Centre (DARC) and in partnership with the City of Ottawa’s Public Art Program, is pleased to present, In the Absence, a public exhibition, to be found in multiple vitrines inside of the Rideau Centre. 

COMPUTER LAB: MEDIA ART IN THE BROWSER

July 20th - August 28th, 2020

Computer Lab: Media Art in the Browser was a public art program offered by the Digital Arts Resource Centre (DARC) in collaboration with the City of Ottawa in between July 20 and August 28, 2020. Computer Lab was tailored with the intention to guide a cohort of emerging-mid-career artists, based in Canada, to expand on their existing practice by learning to use new tools available for digital creation.

VIDEO IN CONTESTED PLACES

June 18th, 2019

Media artist and activist Kit gave a talk on their experiences during the opposition to the Coastal GasLink LNG pipeline by the Wet’suwet’en First Nation in British Columbia. Kit was part of a media team present at the Unist’ot’en camp during the escalating conflict with the RCMP.
