DARC is now accepting peer-assessment self nominations

 

DARC members! You can now nominate yourself to be a DARC peer assessment committee member for the Media Art Production Fund (MAPF), Expanded Practice Residency, and RESOLUTION. 

 

DARC works with peer assessors to evaluate applications we receive from our members for screenings, grants, and residency support. 

 

Please note that only Essentials and Extended Access members can participate in assessment committees. 

 

To nominate yourself as a peer assessor, members are asked to provide the following information:

 

  • Basic contact information;
  • Language proficiency;
  • Experience in any media arts field.

Intro to Electronic Music Production

Intro to Electronic Music Production explores the basics of electronic music production using the digital audio workstation Ableton Live. Participants will learn how to navigate the interface, select and manipulate sounds and samples, understand fundamental audio effects, and create a short electronic music piece using MIDI. Ableton Live will be available at each workstation, with shared access to MIDI controllers for hands-on experimentation.
