Equipment Rentals

Make a Rental Request

DARC offers equipment rentals to our Community, Digital Artist and Expert Digital Artist members.

All members must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask while on site at DARC. Members will be asked to provide proof of vaccination before pick up.

    Cancellations/No shows

    Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance. If less than 48 hours notice is given, members will be billed at the full price of the rental. If a member does not show up for their booking, members will be billed at the full price of the rental.

    COVID 19 RENTAL PROTOCOL

    Renting members must complete and will be required to present the Safe Sets Certificate in advance of booking an equipment rental.

    Become "Safe Sets" Certified

    Please review each section before booking:

    • Staff are only available Wednesday – Friday, 10am – 6pm to book your equipment rental.
    • All bookings must be made via email to rentals@digitalartsresourcecentre.ca.
    • All bookings must be made at least 1 week (5 business days) in advance of wanted booking time.
    • We will not be taking any week of pickup bookings.
    • All bookings will be 1 week long, from Friday – Thursday. Bookings will be charged at a reduced flat weekly fee (normally a daily charge is billed but due to current pandemic circumstances we have reduced our fees).
    • Equipment bookings are only available to Community, Digital Artist and Expert Digital Artist members
    • Weekly on Fridays from 3pm – 6pm 
    • “Contactless” pickup only (members will pickup from outside DARCs main office in a designated area in the public hallway but will not be permitted inside DARC facility spaces) 
    • Equipment rentals will be booked in advance. Pickups will be scheduled in 30 minute time slots while finalizing your booking.
    • Rental pickups will be by confirmed appointment only, absolutely no walk-ins or day of pickup bookings.
    • DARC staff will be wearing PPE (masks, shields, gloves, etc).
    • Members must be wearing a mask at all times while inside Arts Court and during their pickup. 
    • At this time we will not be able to do any gear demos, setups or camera tests with you (please ask us any questions you may have in advance via email/phone).
    • Payments will be made online via Stripe (credit card and visa debit are accepted at this time). We will not be able to accept cash.
    • Rental paperwork will be signed online.
    • Weekly on Thursdays from 10am – 12pm 
    • “Contactless” returns only (members will return bookings outside DARCs main office in a designated area in the public hallway but will not be permitted inside DARC facility spaces) 
    • Equipment returns will be scheduled in half hour time slots while finalizing your initial booking.
    • DARC staff will be wearing PPE (masks, shields, gloves, etc).
    • Members must be wearing a mask at all times while inside Arts Court and during their pickup.
    • DARC staff will wear a mask at all times when handling equipment being prepared for rental.
    • DARC staff will wear PPE at all times when interacting with members during their pickups and returns.
    • Returned equipment will be sanitized before being booked by another member. 
    • All sanitized equipment ready for rental will be housed in sanitized bins which will be used during the pickup and drop off process. These bins will also be sanitized after every use.
    • If renting members are experiencing any symptoms of COVID 19 or have any known exposure to COVID 19 before their booking they will be asked to cancel their booking at no charge. If symptoms or known exposure take place during the rental period the renter will be asked to inform DARC as soon as possible via email: rentals@digitalartsresourcecentre.ca.
    • As much as we miss you, social interaction during pickup and drop off is strongly discouraged and DARC staff will not be available for comments/questions during these times.
