Each month, DARC highlights one of our incredible Members and one of the many exciting projects they’re working on. This month, our Member Highlight is Pixie Cram, a local filmmaker and member of DARC!

MEET PIXIE
Pixie Cram is a filmmaker based in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. The format of her work includes stop-motion animation, pixilation, live action, and small-gauge film (super8 & 16mm). Her films have screened at festivals and galleries across Canada and internationally, and have aired on CBC.
On top of her art practice, she works as a freelance videographer and editor.
One of Pixie’s current projects is her short film The Pavillion, which takes place in Canada, during WWII. Two young girls take inspiration from a magical storybook to help their ailing mother. The film is part live action and part stop-motion animation, created with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council and the DARC Media Arts Production Fund.
