Recurring event see all

May 25, 2021 @ 3:00 pm 6:00 pm

This workshop will showcase tips and tricks to help you create a professional-sounding podcast from your own home. We will discuss the first stages of creating a show, from picking the initial concept to choosing a format. We will explore buying gear on a budget and how to choose the right editing software. We will focus on mixing a podcast and how to work with problem audio to get the best possible sound. Lastly, we will talk about how to release your podcast to major streaming platforms and grow your audience.

Sam Seguin has a passion for blending storytelling and sound design to create rich audio narratives. He graduated from The Audio Recording Academy (Ottawa) in 2009 and has worked as a recording engineer for over 10 years. In early 2020 he shifted to podcast production and has since been a recordist, editor, producer, and sound designer on shows including RBC’s Disruptors, Expedia’s Out Travel The System, and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association’s Justice Vs.
