DARC’s 2026 Garage Sale

July 11

10 AM - 1 PM

Join us on Saturday, July 11th from 10:00am – 1:00pm

It’s Garage Sale Season, folks, and we’ll be hosting our annual summer event to clear out some of our equipment and accessories. It’ll be a great day to scoop up some deals, so be sure to visit and browse through our wares.

📅 Sat. July 11, 2026, 10am – 1pm
📍 SAW Courtyard | 67 Nicholas St.

We’re sure you have questions, so we’ve fielded a few of them in our FAQ below!

Can I test the gear I want to buy?

In a limited capacity, yes! There will be a designated table to test plug-in items, but we may not have every single battery you need. Items for sale are tested and operational, unless otherwise documented.

Can I pay with a card?

Yes! We will have our Helcim terminal set up and we can record card and cash transactions. Maybe even email you a receipt if that’s what you need.

Why does a given item cost x?

Prices will range from $1.00 to $500.00, based on research, wear and tear, item quality, ebay ‘sold items’ delineations, etc. It’s more important that items end up in the community, so some items are open to offers.

Where can I park?

There are no parking spots at DARC – There is street parking available on Nicholas St directly outside at a cost of $7/hour from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and free after 5:30 PM and on weekends. There is also 1-hour free parking on Stewart St east of Waller St (less than 5 minute walk) until 6:00 PM, with no restrictions after 6:00 PM. Paid parking is also available at the Novotel parkade ($12 for overnight parking 6PM-6AM. Enter at 3 Daly Avenue) and the Rideau Centre parkade ($6/hour or $22 for 12 hours. Enter at 80 Nicholas Street or 5 Daly Avenue).

Can I buy stuff and pick it up later?

We would rather treat this as ‘cash and carry’ to prevent confusion and make it easier for staff to wrap up at the end of the event. Please come prepared to buy with cash or card, and the means to take your treasures home.

What’s the coolest thing for sale this year?

Cool is in the eye of the beholder! The items for sale are either donations or decommissioned items from our rental rotation. Staff favourites include the Sony FS7 and the Grogu bluetooth speaker. We hope to build the momentum for more in the coming years.
