Creative Coding is an exciting and accessible way for artists to use software development tools to produce creative, artistic works. Creative coding can produce artistic works that utilize both graphic, moving image and audio elements to create interactive installations (online and in person), audio visualizations, projections, projection mapping and many more exciting possibilities. This online workshop will provide the basics of coding in JavaScript using the free, open-source creative coding library p5.js to produce interactive art in the web browser.
Participants will leave the workshop with the knowledge and tools to create and experiment with creative coding. If you are unfamiliar with creative coding and curious about it’s possibilities we encourage you to explore our online exhibition In the Absence.
